My Story

I created Chalk to Flour from my two passions; fitness and food. College volleyball player turned CrossFit coach turned weight lifter turned marathon runner. You never know if I'm covered in chalk or flour. My journey with fitness has always been accompanied by good fueling food. And sweets. I believe that life is all about balance and I preach you should never sacrifice your sweet tooth because sometimes it is just what your body, mind and soul need. What I learned from both baking and sports throughout the years is that they are best enjoyed with those you love.

Over the years I have gained experience in the culinary and pastry industry. The teachers, co-workers, and chefs who've helped me along the way have shown me that passion, drive, and determination get you where you want to go. After graduating from University of California Riverside, I decided to follow my dream and enroll in culinary school. I graduated from National Culinary and Baking school where I found there is so much more to baking than I had ever dreamed.

I am blessed with this talent to bake and I believe it is my purpose to share it with others. I couldn't do this without the love and support of my family and friends, the true reason Chalk to Flour was created. Thank you and I hope we get to make something sweet together!
